From printable designs.
This is the first of the Christmassy craft ideas. As I mentioned in the previous post, I dappled with this dapper walletty things, made from a manilla folder, bake paper and recycled flower paper. I was baking biscuits at the time which might explain the rather random idea! They were surprisingly easy to stitch on the sewing machine and I might have another go later in the year, but if you would like to create your own, there are many videos you can find on YouTube. I might have another try next Christmas.
In the meantime, these letter writing sets are just as nice to receive, and take a little less time to create.
What you’ll need:
PDF of your writing paper, backing card and sticker design of choice. I have six available featuring some unusual depictions of composers (pictured above) or you can create your own using a free program like CANVA.
A friendly local printer. I use the amazing people at Tasprint and I can highly recommend their services.
Envelopes and packaging.
Scissors, a cutting board, and any other attachable items.
C5 envelopes purchased from your local stationary store and a rubber stamp set is a nice touch too. You could rewrap it to match, or... perhaps make your own stamp holder from fabric. (Another of next years' projects).
Method:
Print your note paper at your local printers—double-sided A5 for the note-paper (along the long edge) using a satin paper 170 thickness. Print the stickers on sticker paper and the backing card on gloss 300 thickness cardboard.
Cut out the stickers and attach one to the upper left corner of the envelopes.
Arrange your note paper, on either side of a piece of scrap cardboard for reinforcement. Add the envelopes and stickers and position and attach the cardboard backing.
Yay! So easy! If you decide to try this project, please get in touch and send me a photo of your Christmassy creation, I’d love to see them.
Until next time, Happy creating!
